The red tower is taken from the arms of the Lords of Harsdorf, who ruled the village in medieval times. The silver point in blue is taken from the arms of the Lords of Künssberg, who played a mayor role in the local history. The crosier refers to the local patron saint, ST. Martin, bishop of Tours.
