Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 30, 1997.
The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the village. The arms show the local church and the local watchtower. The church was built in the 12th century next to the watchtower, and later these were connected. The medieval seal showed both towers closely together, as if it were a double-towered church. The arms show the two towers separately.
The fish symbolises the former Domerslebener See, which was historically of importance for fisheries.
