Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 26, 1980.
The cross and the colours blue/gold are derived from the arms of the Heidenfeld Abbey, founded in the 11th century and which played a major role in the history of Heidenfeld. The deer antler symbolises the village of Hirschfeld (Hirsch=deer). The two fish in the base indicate the historical importance of fishing for the people in the area.
