Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ?.

The arms represent the two villages; the chestnut leaf is taken from the old arms of Brunow and is a common tree in the area. The hill and flower represent Heckelberg, the hill is a canting element (Berg) and the flower is taken from the historical seal of the village. The two wavy pales represent the Gamengrund and Nonnenfließ rivers.

The green colour refers to the agricultural character of the area.
