Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 24, 2005

The two branches and two scythes refer to the two parts oft he municipality (village and 'Kolonie') and at the same time to the landscape, agriculture and metal industry. The birch branches also refer to the Slavic origin of the name, which meant 'place were small birches grow'.
