STOLPE
State : Brandenburg
District (Kreis) : Uckermark
Incorporated into : 2003 Angermünde
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
Stolpe was already mentioned as a city in 1286, but there are no seals known from these times. The oldest known seal dates from 1778 and shows already the above arms. The arms clearly indicate the fortified character of the city, and are likely to be older than 1778.
