NORDHEIM AM MAIN

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Kitzingen

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 4, 1970.

The arms are based on an 18th century seal showing the local patron saint, St. Lawrence. He was holding his attributes, a grill and a palm leaf, which have been taken in the arms.

The blue and silver are taken from the arms of the Münsterschwarzach abbey, to which the village belonged from 1306-1803. Silver and red are the colours of the Franken region.
