OBERENSE
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Soest
Incorporated into : 1969 Ense
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in April 2019.
The municipality never had arms or seals, but the village adopted arms in 2019.
The upper half of the arms shows a tool used for horses (Pferdepramme, I don't know the English word), derived from the arms of the Von Ense family, who played an important role in the local history.
The horse head is taken from the arms of Westfalen, as the village historically was part of Westfalen.
