SINDRINGEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Hohenlohekreis (until 1973 Öhringen)
Incorporated into : 1972 Forchtenberg
German | In Blau auf grünem Dreiberg ein goldenes Kreuz, beiderseits begleitet von je einem sechsstrahligen goldenen Stern. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The origin of the arms is not well known. Sindringen developed into a city in the 13th and 14th century, but there are no seals or arms known until the late 16th century. The oldest seal already shows the arms.
The cross in the arms may be derived from the symbol of the local church, devoted to the Holy Cross. The meaning of the stars is not known.
