Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 1, 1972.

The arms show the local St. Wendelin church in Obergermaringen. The star is taken from the arms of the city of kaufbeuren, to which the villages historically belonged. The arms were also used by the former municipality Obergermaringen.
