Gold ein linksgewendeter widersehender doppelschwänziger rotbewehrter silberner Löwe mit schwarzer Mähne und Haupt, in der rechten Pranke ein goldenes Schwert mit schwarzer Parierstange, die linke auf einem schwebenden Schild ruhend, darin in Blau zwei treue Hände in natürlichen Farben Origin/meaningThe arms are based on the seal from Pohlitz dating from around 1850. The lion is the lion of the Counts and county Reuss, to which the village belonged until 1918. The shield with the two hands most likely was taken from the revolutionary arms of the Arbeiterverbrüdung (worker's brotherhood) from 1848. It was later described as a symbol for friendship or as a symbol for the spa and tourism. The meaning of the sword is not known.
From 1998-2018 the city used the arms shown below. The current arms are nearly identical, but with different colours in the small shield.
