Country : Germany State : Brandenburg District (Kreis): Ostprignitz-Ruppin Incorporated into:
|
German | In Blau zwei schräggekreuzte silberne Torfspaten, oben bewinkelt von einer goldenen Königskrone. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The village developed around peat gathering in the area, which started in 1788 and lasted for about 100 years, hence the two peat-spades in the arms. The crown refers to a royal hunting lodge in the municipality, as the village was a possession of King Friedrich I of Prussia since 1711. He also donated a crown to the local village.
