German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

GLONN

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Ebersberg

Glonn.jpg

Official blazon

In Silber eine waagrechte blaue Forelle mit goldenen Flossen, darunter ein sechzehnschaufeliges schwarzes Mühlrad.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 16, 1931.

The trout in the upper part of the arms shows the rich fishing rivers in the area : the Glonn, Kupferbach and Schrannenbach. The lower parts shows a water mill wheel and symbolises the importance of the historical water mills for the development of the town. The blue and silver colours are derived from the arms of Bayern.
