German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

LOOSE

State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Rendsburg-Eckernförde
Amt : Amt Schlei-Ostsee (until 2008 Amt Windeby)

Loose.jpg

Official blazon

In Gold unter blauem Wellenschildhaupt und über blauem Wellenschildfuß eine rote Rose mit grünen Kelchblättern zwischen zwei grünen Eichenblättern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 5, 1993.

The village of Loose is situated on the sea, between the Schlei and the Eckernförder Bucht (part od the Ostsee). This is symbolised by the rose among two bodies of water. The two leaves symbolise both the forests in the area as well as the two villages, Loose and Loosau. The blue and gold colours are also the colours of Schleswig, to which the municipality belongs.
