The arms were officially granted on ?
 
The arms show a blue chevron taken from the arms of the Lords of Schelriß, who had a castle in the village in the 13th-15th century. The letters come from the old village seal (W) and the Seligenstadt Abbey (A), to which the village historically belonged until 1805.
