BORSDORF
State : Sachsen
District (Kreis) : Leipzig (until 2008 Muldentalkreis)
Additions : 1973 Zweenfurth; 1999 Panitzsch
Official blazon
In Silber ein grüner Apfelbaum mit sieben goldenen Früchten auf einen grünen Schildfuß mit silbernem Wellenbalken.
Origin/meaning
The arms show an apple tree, for the Borsdorfer type of apples (even though it is not sure whether the type actually comes from the village).
The base shows the Parthe, a small river flowing through the municipality.
