In Schwarz ein goldener Zickzackbalken in Form eines W, von einem goldenen Kreuz besteckt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 26, 1954.
The arms were newly designed, there are no arms or seals known for the town. The arms are partly canting, a letter W and a cross. The colours are black for the coal mined in the town and gold for the revenues.
