Origin/meaning

Heimsheim received city rights in the late 13th century, which were confirmed in 1456. Probably at the same time the arms were devised and placed on the local seal. The wheat-ears are a canting symbol (for Heimsen) and have been derived from two crossed arrows. The meaning thereof I do not know.
