HEIDEN
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Borken
Official blazon
Im blauem Feld zwei silberne Balken, deren unterem ein goldenes Hünengrab aufsitzt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 17, 1956.
The two bars are derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Heiden. Instead of the third bar in the original arms a monolithic prehistoric grave was added. The local grave symbolises the prehistoric inhabitation of the area.
