(de) In Silber zwischen zwei roten Schanzkörben, auf grünem mit einem silbernen Seeblatt belegten Dreiberg ein grün gekleideter Soldat des Dreißigjährigen Krieges mit breitem silbernen Kragen, goldener Schärpe, grünem Federhut, roten Stulpenhandschuhen und schwarzen Kanonenstiefeln mit goldenen Sporenspangen, die linke Hand in die Seite gestemmt, in der rechten Hand eine Partisane mit schwarzer Stange, goldener Spitze und goldenem Eisen haltend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 6, 1938 and again on October 28, 1999.

The arms show a soldier from the 30-years war (1618-1648) on a small hill between a red wall. The arms refer to the fact that in this war there was a battle on July 17, 1626 on the Moortalberg in the municipality. On the mountain an infantry camp had been established previously. During the battle one of the Austrian generals was killed and buried on the mountain. The arms thus refer to the camp and the battle on the hill. The hill itself is shown in the base, with a small water-lily leaf for the Moortalsee lake.

Even though the old arms of 1938 were still valid, the municipality used since the 1980s other arms. These were derived from the seal of the village from 1933, and showed the mountain with the water-lily leaf, but on top only three trees. These arms were never officially granted, see below.
