SOTTMAR
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Wolfenbüttel
Incorporated into : 1974 Denkte
German | In Blau unter einem goldenen Sparren eine goldene Sonne.
Origin/meaningThe name Sottmar means 'southern place' and the sun is therefore seen as a canting symbol. The chevron is seen as a roof and thus refers to the second part of the meaning of the name. The colours are those of the Duchy of Braunschwig, to which the area historically belonged. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
