AMT PUTLITZ-BERGE

State : Brandenburg
District (Kreis) : Prignitz

Wappen von Amt Putlitz-Berge

Official blazon

(de) Von Silber und Grün gespalten, darin eine 17-blättrige Linde in verwechselten Farben, begleitet rechte von fünf linksgewandten roten Spitzen, links von einer auffliegenden silbernen Gans.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 12, 1995.

The red and silver half is taken from the arms of the Von Rohr family, who played a major role in the local history. The goose is taken from the arms of the city of Putlitz.

The linden is a common tree in the villages and has 17 leaves, one for each of the municipalities (16) and the city of Putlitz. Due to mergers, the number of municipalities, however, has been reduced significantly.

To the Amt Putlitz-Berge belong:

  • Berge
  • Gülitz-Reetz
  • Pirow
  • Putlitz
  • Triglitz
