Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 19, 1980.
The wavy bend symbolises the Glattbach (Bach=stream, river). The upper half shows a small shield with a double-headed stork. These are the arms of the Wasen family, who owned from 1387-1528 a large estate in the municipality. The lower half shows three bobbins, a symbol for the local textile industry.
