Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 9, 1994.

The bell is taken from old village seals and is a canting sybol (klingen means to ring a bell). According to legend the chapel was named Clingison and was built close to a lake rich in trout, hence the trout with the golden discs.

The village was a longtime possession of the Fulda Abbey, which is symbolised by the small black cross.
