Origin/meaning
The arms were designed and adopted in 2021.
The arms combine elements from the arms of the three former Verbandsgemeinden. The black lion's head is taken from the previous arms 9see below), the fleur-de-lys and wavy bar from Obere Kyll and the zig-zag bar from Hillesheim.
The bordure is a symbol in Rheinland-Pfalz for a Verbandsgemeinde.
