Origin/meaningThe unicorn is taken from the arms of the Grothe family, who acquired a large estate in Wrestedt in 1666. The tail is divided in three parts, which symbolises the three families, who had estates in the area, Grothe, Wresterstede and Badendieck. The chief shows a typical decoration on the local farms and refer to the State of Niedersachsen. Literature: Information provided by the Samtgemeinde Wrestedt. |
