PARTENSTEIN
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Main-Spessart (until 1973 Lohr am Main)
German |
In Rot über goldenen Mauersteinen in vier Reihen zwei schräg gekreuzte silberne Hellebarden. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 28, 1969.
The halberds are a canting element (old German name Parte), as are the stones (Steine).
The colours red and gold are taken from the arms of the Counts of Rieneck and the Counts of Hanau, who both had possessions in the area in the 13th-15th century. Later the area was part of the State of Mainz, from which the red and silver colours are derived.
