Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 18, 2000.
The municipality comprises six villages. Kerch and Olk historically belonged to the State of Trier, the other four (Edingen, Godendorf, Ralingen and Wintersdorf) belonged to the Duchy of Luxembourg. This is symbolised in the arms by the cross of the State of Trier and the arms of Luxembourg.
The garb shows six ears, one for each of the villages, and is a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality.
