Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 30, 1992.

Halsorf historically belonged to the County of Vianden. The silver bar in a red field is the arms of Vianden.

The fleur-de-lis are symbols for the local patron saint, St. Franciscus Xaverius. The plough iron is a symbol for the agricultural character of the village.
