Origin/meaning

Aindling was mentioned as a town in the 15th century and the oldest seal of the town is known since 1579. The seal already showed a shield with the eagle's claw. The claw is most likely derived from the Medieval Lords of Anling. All later seals and images have shown the claw as the symbol for Aindling. The colours, however, have differed widely during the centuries.
