English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 8, 1998.

The oak branch (Eiche) is a canting element, the two leaves refer to the villages of Eichenbarleben and Mammendorf. The lower half shows a plough as a symbol for the agricultural character of the area.

The division line symbolises the Olbe river, but also the former post road from Aachen to Königsberg (Kaliningrad) which ran through the village. The road had seven curves in the village, which can still be seen.
