Im silbernen, durch einen blauen Wellenbalken geteilten Schild oben eine rote gestürzte Spitze, die mit einem silbernen sechsspeichigen Rad belegt ist, unten eine rote Spitze, die mit einem silbernen Eichenblatt belegt ist.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 26, 1994.

The blue bar refers to the sources of two streams in the municipality. The upper part shows the wheel of the State of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged. The oak leaf refers to the local forests as well as to the district.
