WOLTZETEN
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Aurich (until 1976 Norden)
Incorporated into : 1972 Krummhörn
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
Woltzeten is situated in the moors, with many small lakes and rivers. The wavy bend symbolises this. The cross symbolyzes the monastry which was built between 1509 and 1529. It was abolished in 1610.
