NEUENDORF
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Main-Spessart (until 1973 Lohr am Main)
Official blazon
Im Zinnenschnitt geteilt von Rot und Gold, oben zwei schräg gekreuzte silberne Pfeile, unten ein blaues Schälmesser.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 25, 1981.
The two crossed arrows are the symbol of St. Sebastian, the local patron saint. The lower half shows a knofe, and refers to the long tradition of making such knives in the village.
The division line refers to the former castle and abbey of Schönrain in the municipality. The colours are those of the COunts of Rieneck, who bought the castle in 1525.
