Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 15, 2006.
The red and silver are the colours of the State of Trier and the Hartardstein Estate, as the village historically belonged to these. The foal is a symbol for St. Celsus, the local patron saint.
The bell is the historical bell, which was saved in the Second World War as it was hidden between milk collecting cans. The pine cone refers to an ancient habit of the Celts who inhabited the area in Roman times. In many graves from this era stones with a pine cone were found.
