Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 10, 1572 by Duke Albrecht V of Bayern. The arms show in the chief a star, the origin is not known, probably it is an old village symbol. The wave is a canting element (Bach=stream). The lower half of the arms shows the diamonds of Bayern.
The arms appeared also on the seal of 1572, with two angels as supporters. The supporters were used until the 18th century.
