Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 4, 2002.
The arms refer to the fact that the village was for a very long time on the border between the Duchy of Sachsen-Altenburg (rose) and the Principality of Reuß jüngere Linie (lion). The border itself is symbolised by the bar.
The base shows the local St. Hubertus spring, for which the village is well known in the area.
