Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ??
The oldest known seal of the city dates from 1289 and already shows a building and a canting calf. The building probably indicates the development as a city in the 12th century. During the centuries the design of the building as well as the colours have changed, but the basic composition remained the same.
