Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on August 11, 1980. These arms were adopted after the merger of Waldfischbach and Burgalben in 1969 combining symbols from both older arms. For Waldfischbach a silver fish on black and for Burgalben a red lion on gold. Both background colours combine the colours of the Kurpfalz black and gold.
