Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ?
The saltire is the symbol of St. Andrew, the patron saint of Emsbüren and he was also shown the oldest known seal, dating from 1591.
The wavy pale symbolises the Ems river and the golden field the agricultural character of the area.
