In Silber ein mit elf goldenen Kugeln belegter schräglinker blauer Wellenbalken, oben von einem wachsenden rechts gewendeten golden bewehrten schwarzen Eberkopf und unten von einem nach schräglinks oben schwimmenden blauen Fisch begleitet.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 6, 1994.

The wavy bend refers to the Pleisse river in the municipality. The eleven golden balls refer to the former 11 municipalities that merged since 1950.

The fish and the boar refer to the former importance of fishing and the rich nature in the area respectively.
