Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 7, 1950.
The upper part shows the eagle of the Counts of Leiningen and the lion of the Counts of ]]Zweibrücken]], who ruled the area in medieval times. The base shows a canting Spirke (juniper) and bend (Bach=brook, stream).
