Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 11, 1983.
The upper part combines the chequered bend of the Cistercian Order with a crosier for the Bishops of Würzburg, symbolising the two main rulers in the area.
The lower part shows two potato flowers, the main crop, as well as a plough iron, both symbolising the agricultural character of the village.
