Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 24, 1978.
The cross on the hill is the Litermont-cross on the Litermont hill. The cross is a reference to Margarethe von Litermont, who played a role in a local legend. The wavy bar symbolises the Prims river. The four stars are taken from the seal of the St. Simeon Abbey in Trier, to which the area historically belonged. The four stars refer to the four former municipalities.
