German	In geviertem Schild, in Blau silberner Schwan mit rotem Schnabel, in Silber drei rote Schräglinksbalken, in Braun ein schwarzbekleideter Mönch mit silberner Kapuze, Silber ein unbewurzelter Baum.

Origin/meaning

The arms were probably designed in the 1930s and appeared on the seals of the municipality at least until 1952. The colours are not quite certain though. The municipality proposed the above arms again in the mid 1990s, but I have no information whether the arms were actually granted.

The swan is the symbol for the Osthavelland region. The meaning of the bends is not clear, but were shown in the colours of Brandenburg.

The third quarter shows a monk, whose origin is not clear, as there has never been a monastery in the village, not did any monastery own part of the village, except the Spandau Convent. The monk probably is a normal man, taken from the arms of the Von Ribbeck family, who ruled the village from 1572-1789.

The tree probably refers to the local forests.
