Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1950.
The arms show a chevron for the former county of Ravensberg, to which the municipality belonged. The small shield with the eagle is the arms of the Counts of Rietberg, who has several possessions in the municipality. The building is a typical farm from the region with very large doors. Only a few of these still survive.
