English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 26, 2003.
The hammer and plough iron refer to the small local industries and agriculture in the municipality. The cap is taken from the arms of the Von Karstedt family, which played an important role in the local history.
The chief refers to the fact that the village is on a junction of main roads and a railway. The colours are those of Brandenburg.
