Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on  ?

The wings refer to the German aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal (1848=1896), who used a field in the municipality for his experiments. The three wheatears refer to the agricultural character of the municipality.

The stone wall symbolises the old early medieval Slavic fortifications in the area, some parts which are still visible. The three thistle flowers are typical for and symbolise the Krielower Berge area.
