Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 20, 1936.
The arms show the bar taken from the arms of the Counts of the Mark, who ruled the area in the medieval times. The crow is taken from the arms of the city of Kierspe, the lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of the Berg, who had possessions in Rönsahl.
