Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 13, 1992.
The saint is taken from the seal of the local council dating from 1680, which showed St. Lawrence, the patron saint. The figure in the first quarter is the monument fro Fröbel, who lived in Schweina from 1850-1852. The oak in the point refers to the pig farming in the village, oaks are a favourite food for pigs.
